Corrupted Weapons
The corrupted twisted bow, scythe of vitur and tumeken's shadow: the second best weapons in the game, behind only the Raids IV weapons. They need no charges.
The components
Each corrupted weapon needs one rare component, which drops from one boss:
| Component | For | Drops from | Rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Metamorphic dust | Corrupted twisted bow | Nex | 1 / 3,000 |
| Sanguine dust | Corrupted scythe of vitur | Vardorvis | 1 / 3,000 |
| Eye of the corruptor | Corrupted tumeken's shadow | Corporeal Beast | 1 / 2,000 |
World bosses can also drop any of the three components.
The steps in between
- Osmumten's scythe: an Osmumten's fang fused with a scythe of vitur. Half way between the scythe and the corrupted scythe.
- Crondis' twisted bow: a twisted bow and a Zaryte crossbow bound with Xeric's sinew from the Chambers of Xeric. Half way between the twisted bow and the corrupted bow.
The next step: Raids IV
The most powerful weapons on Veyron come from The Fractured Archive (Raids IV): the Obligator, the Ascension crossbows and Zorya's tome each hit about 25% harder than the corrupted weapon of the same style.
In PvP
Against other players, custom items count as the OSRS items they were made from: the corrupted twisted bow hits like a twisted bow, the corrupted scythe like a scythe of vitur, radiant armour like oathplate, and so on. Their extra power only works against monsters.
